What is Needed

  • An area of land must be sourced that is large enough for a community to grow and flourish in a sustainable manner.
  • There must be a sustainable source of fresh and clean water to supply the community's needs as the community grows in size.
  • The soil must be arable to allow for local small scale production of food and keeping of free range animals such as cattle, sheep, goats. The designated housing spaces must have land suitable for vegetable gardens in private residences.
  • The area must be accessible by a road network.
  • In keeping with creating a sustainable and environmentally-friendly community, relevant technologies for the management of the by-products of human activities must be researched and implemented (such as generating electricity without using fossil fuels, sustainable waste and sewage management, etc)
